Sembawang Marine and Trading has been around since 2009, and came under new ownership in 2015. We’re an independent chemical trading company, and we’ve kept it that way on purpose — it lets us move fast and stay close to the people we work with.

We trade methanol, slack wax, solvents, acids, sulfur, and glycerines (crude and refined), supplying industrial manufacturers, distributors, and traders across Asia, Europe, and the US. We’re now expanding into Agro & Marine, starting with Eucheuma Cottonii (seaweed) — a deliberate step as we grow our portfolio into new territory.

We’ve always believed that good trading isn’t just about the product, it’s about the relationship. Our customers and principals aren’t just buyers and sellers to us — they’re partners. That’s why we put real effort into understanding what they need and being someone they can count on, deal after deal. It’s also why a lot of our customers have stuck with us for years.

Our management team brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in methanol, solvents, wax, and bitumen, among other products. That experience is what lets us offer good chemicals at genuinely competitive prices, not just on paper.

We’re headquartered in Singapore, with a representative office in Jakarta. From sourcing to delivery, we handle the whole process ourselves, and we tailor our service to fit how each partner actually works.
